If you lift, your creatinine can read high without your kidneys being in any trouble.
Serum creatinine and the calculated eGFR estimate the kidney filtration rate. Heavily muscled adults run higher creatinine without true kidney impairment — interpret with body composition in mind.
The protocol
| Units | Creatinine mg/dL; eGFR mL/min/1.73m² |
| Standard range | Creatinine 0.6–1.3; eGFR > 60 considered normal |
| Optimal range | Creatinine 0.7–1.1 (men); 0.6–0.9 (women); eGFR > 90 |
| <30 | severe — urgent referral |
| 30-59 | moderate CKD — see clinician |
| 60-89 | mildly reduced — recheck and pair with urine ACR |
| eGFR >90 | normal |
| Diet | moderate protein, low salt |
| Testing | add urine albumin-creatinine ratio (ACR) for kidney health |
| Hydration | ≥2 L water daily |
| Medication | review NSAIDs with clinician |

If you lift, your creatinine can read high without your kidneys being in any trouble. Serum creatinine and the calculated eGFR estimate filtration rate, and heavily muscled adults run higher creatinine — read it with body composition in mind. eGFR above ninety is normal. Sixty to eighty-nine is mildly reduced: recheck and pair it with a urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio. Thirty to fifty-nine is moderate and goes to a clinician; below thirty is an urgent referral. Two litres of water a day, moderate protein, low salt, and review any regular painkillers with a clinician. agegen.ai. Generate your prime age! ~~ Mr. Age
